amygdala art about us

Hi, I’m Rasika– an audiologist, speech therapist, art enthusiast, and the person behind Amygdala Art.
While working in hospitals and clinics in Mumbai, I saw how waiting rooms often feel austere and impersonal. Patients and caregivers sit anxiously, surrounded by ads or plain information, with little to reassure or connect with them.

I knew it could be different. I believe we can to transform these spaces with thoughtfully designed artwork and products that educate, comfort, and bring smiles to patients and practitioners alike.

Whether it’s for a therapy room, hospital hallway, dental office, or neuro rehab centre, every design is created to add value- it educates, sparks curiosity, reassures, or simply makes someone feel seen and understood. Plus fun, relatable merch like badges, magnets for the professionals who make healing possible.

Art has the power to transform the experience.

We chose the name “Amygdala Art” as a nod to this fascinating brain structure that processes emotions. Just as the amygdala helps form emotional connections to experiences, our art aims to create positive emotional associations within healthcare settings- replacing anxiety with interest, sterility with warmth, and clinical detachment with human connection.
